Forecast calls for Increased Sales

After too many months of poor sale to count, experts are predicting that the latter half of 2010 will show some improvement in the sales of natural diamonds.  While this is good news for ailing retailers whose business depends on diamond sales – it may not be the greatest news for shoppers.  Sure, the fact that people have some dollars in their wallets to spend is a great thing, but with the demand for natural diamonds on the rise – the price of natural diamonds will follow suit.  This is one of the major problems when dealing with natural gemstones, you are subject to availability and that often means that when several people get ready to purchase the price goes up with the increased demand.

You’ll never have that problem when dealing with cubic zirconia or other lab created gems.  Retail jewelers can buy loose cz and a wide variety of other optically flawless lab created gems in bulk lots from wholesalers.  Due to the fact that lab gems can be created to meet demands, there is never much worry that the price will go up if sales were to increase and customers will never have to worry about settling for an inferior piece of jewelry because of not being able to afford they size, cut and color that they had originally wanted.

As people start to get back lost hours and wages at work, they will certainly be looking to spend some of that money on gifts for their loved ones and for themselves – and while diamonds may have been the choice at one time; don’t be surprised if sales of jewels containing lab created gems increase in sales even more than natural gems due to the fact that they have unparalleled beauty and that they will be much more available and much more affordable than their natural counterparts.
